An animation in progress. My theme revolves around the ‘7 Deadly Sins’. I have chosen three of the seven for this project where I can delve deeper into the meanings of each Gluttony, Greed and Pride. I have created ‘Worlds’ where each thrive in their sinful acts, surrounding and enticing any who enter to take part in the acts themselves.Animation, Design, Photo Manipulation2011 -

This is a project I undertook while in my final year at college [HND], this was my final end of year Graded Unit.
BRIEF:
I have been commissioned to create a set of four posters to advertise Glasgow to tourists and Scots alike. Alongside the posters I have been asked to produce a marketing strategy for the launch party. The only colours which can be used are red, white and black. The whole design concept must work around this restriction. The aim is to make people aware that Glasgow is a fun and exciting place to live and work, as well as visit. The tone of this campaign is to be fun, exciting and interesting. Our target market is tourists and visitors as well as people who hail from Glasgow and Scotland.Advertising, Exhibition Design, Graphic Design2011 -
This was a project set within college to further skills within the Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop programs. I produced a sketchbook with mix media surrounding the theme of 'Bugs and Beasties' with extensive research into the subject matter. These were then transferred to the programs and manipulated and worked on to create the final desired results. My chosen insects are butterflies and moths. The different variations of colours and hues reflect the colours of each insect family; bright colours for butterflies and more neutral hues for the moths. The prints have been created to work in harmony with each other as a set.Print Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia2011 -
I have been commisioned to create a set of tea product packages which reflect the sustainability and use of materials within packaging design. The name of the company is Konnichiwa. I have to create a clear marketing concept and strategy. The Japanese teas are aimed at young professionals who care about their health and this should impact on the style of the designs. There are six different types of tea which are to be packaged. They are Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Black, White and Green teas. There should also be a separate information leaflet for inside the tea packages outlining the benefits of drinking tea.Digital Art, Graphic Design, Packaging2011 -
I have been commissioned to devise a campaign with the direction of highlighting awareness of smoking amongst Scottish youths. The aim is to stop young people from starting to smoke as well as break the cycle of young people who already smoke.
My direction for this campaign is humour with a sense of reality. I will aim at the target market of ten to thirteen, which will in turn provide the whole look and feel of the design concept. I have to produce a set of posters and postcards which will link with each other.
Alongside this I will produce an information leafet, highlighting the effects of smoking. There is also a short animation to be produced for the website.
The campaign will be unisex to cater for both groups. The final products are to be used in schools and doctors surgeries to educate pupils in the semester of 2011.Graphic Design, Typography, Advertising2011 -
There are three companies coming together to form one. They require a new logo and 'image' for the new grouping.
The company - Engage Renfrewshire - has to incorporate the colour green and have some sort of symbol within the logo for instant recognition when used in marketing materials. They also require a set of stationery which forms part of the overall look and feel of the company.
My logo represents the coming together of the three companies. The circle represents the one company as a whole, with the triangle from the outset acting as the link between the three. The direction of the triangle also symbolises the commencement of the new grouping, going forward. The stationery has been designed around the green colour, showing a fresh and clean design.Branding2011 -
This is a selection of my photography images. As I have previously completed a course in photography I still enjoy amateur photography in my spare time. There is a range of subject matter and styles as I like to experiment with photography.Photography2011
